Copan Mayan Ruins - Photo of the Reviewing Stand at the base of Temple 11 facing out on the West Court 

At the top of the Reviewing Stand, in the center, is the Being with the Snake emerging from his Mouth and Holding the Rattle

with the "IK" (Wind) Glyph (a). Also notice Two Large Conch Shells. The West Court is believed to have represented a Watery

Underworld. At the very top of this photo note the South Entrance (or opening) to Temple 11. Just inside this doorway on

the right wall are Inscriptions seen in detail in another photo (b). At the base of this doorway,

Reptilian Sculptures are found both on the left (c) and right (d) sides.
